NCHSAA State Championship Television Schedule Released

CHAPEL HILL – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) is once again partnering with Sinclair Broadcasting Group to produce and distribute the 2019 NCHSAA Football Championships. The television schedule with affiliates and their over-the-air channel information is available below by each market in the state. Please check your local cable/satellite information for the channel number on those services.



Each game will also be simulcast in its entirety via the NFHS Network. Direct links to each game are listed at the bottom of this release. The NFHS Network charges a $10.99 per month subscription fee to access live sporting events including other NCHSAA Championships. You can find additional information about the NFHS Network at www.NFHSNetwork.com.

NCHSAA and Sinclair Broadcasting Announce Deal to Broadcast State Championships

CHAPEL HILL – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association and Sinclair Broadcast Group have reached an agreement that will bring the NCHSAA’s annual State Championship Games in Football and Basketball to television across the state and beyond.





This initial agreement is for two-years and will bring the excitement of eight NCHSAA State Championships in football and eight more in Basketball to viewers across the state on Sinclair stations in Sinclair markets and online worldwide through their station websites.





Sinclair Broadcast Group operates over 200 television stations across the nation and currently operates local stations in three of North Carolina’s seven major television markets. Sinclair operates WLOS and WMYA in Asheville, WXLV and WMYV in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem market and WLFL and WRDC in the Raleigh-Durham market.





Sinclair will also televise select regular season and playoff games for both football and basketball in their local markets, continuing their coverage in the Asheville area this season and adding coverage in the Triad and Triangle markets for the 2018-19 season.





“We are extremely pleased to find a partner in Sinclair that shares the values of education-based athletics that we uphold at the NCHSAA,” said NCHSAA Commissioner Que Tucker. “We are excited for the new opportunities to highlight the great accomplishments of our student-athletes, schools and their communities through this new partnership.”





“The state championships allow the Sinclair Broadcast Group to continue its's commitment to serving our communities with meaningful local grassroots programming.,” said Stephen Mann, Director for High School Programming at Sinclair Broadcast Group. “We are very excited and proud of our partnership with the NCHSAA and look forward to showcasing the schools, the teams and the student-athletes as they reach out to achieve their moment in history in the NCHSAA State Championships.”







The NCHSAA Football State Championships are scheduled for Saturday, December 9 and Basketball Championships are slated for Saturday, March 10. A listing of game times and stations will be available on the NCHSAA Website the week prior to the Championships.
